This is one of the first “real” films that I ever scored (meaning it has actors most people have heard of). The music is a mix of jazz, rock and latin tunes that I recorded with a 13-piece group at the Kampo Cultural Center on Bond Street in New York. There is certainly some roughness to the playing (I keep rushing my Floyd Cramer-esqe piano riffs), but that seems to fit the down-and-out characters in the film.
